How many victims of the justice system will it take before the powers that be open their eyes to what happens when we make mistakes? As a rape victim whose mistaken eyewitness sent a man to prison for eleven years, I know firsthand how lives are forever ruined when we, the system, refuse to see the truth. Other innocent people become victims, families are shattered and people spend years of their lives crying for justice that may never come. If we carry a banner that states "justice for all" then it is required we stand behind it and make it mean something.

After many years of people falling along the wayside
so many broken promises. . .
so many false hopes.
I now have you: The truth.
The truth and love that's much deeper than
running a website
deeper and much stronger than
speaking out about my innocence.
This is friendship. . ,
it is love. .,
it is my beloved extended family.
You rescued me and never let go.
If I was a mockingbird
and all I ever learned to sing-say was
'thank you'.., 'thank-you'. .,
all my life I would go about
thanking you,
until eternity!
And it will not have been enough giving of you my thanks.
