Former Strings frontman Faisal Kapadia will sing the soundtrack to filmmaker Shoaib Mansoor’s upcoming feature film.

The as yet untitled project stars Emmad Irfani and Maya Ali. No further details have been made available at this time.

But one thing we do know is that the song was composed and written by Mansoor, so it’s bound to be a hit. For the uninitiated, Mansoor was also the producer of the iconic “Dil Dil Pakistan” for Vital Signs in 1987 and we all know what a hit that was.

He is also the director behind Bowl, Khuda Kay Liye, Verna, Alpha Bravo Charlie, Ankahi and Half half.

Kapadia, who jointly announced with Bilal Maqsood in March 2021 that they were ending their 33-year journey with Strings, has recently focused on his solo career. He collaborated with Young Stunners for ‘Phir Milege’ for Coke Studio’s hugely successful Season 14.

The musician is looking forward to growing even more as a musician. He looks forward to change, even a “reinvention” of sorts, but as long as it’s not forced just for fun. “I want it to be organic,” he said Pictures. “I just want to go with the flow, go wherever the winds take me. I don’t want to force myself to do something just because I think I should. The phase of my life where I’m at now, getting a song to success or gaining popularity is no longer a priority. The priority is to improve my “musician-ship”. I want to try new things. I want to have new musical experiences. I want to work with new people. Every project and every new thing I try will be a lot of learning, so that’s the exciting part for me right now.”
