Soundtrack #1 broke with a rule commonly used by most K-dramas. The OST for dramas is usually released soon after its premiere. Since Han and Park’s K-drama heavily focuses on a musical theme, the producers and creators have so far released two OSTs ahead of its official air date.

According to Soompi, the first OST, “Love Beyond Words”, is sung by Kyuhyun of Super Junior. Park Bo Ram wrote and sang the second OST, “Want to Be Happy”. Soompi explains, “The lyrics are about someone who wants to find love again and be happy despite the expectation that happiness can end with the breakup.”

In an interview with Allure reported by Soompi, Han explains, “Like [my character] is a lyricist, I don’t sing, but during filming I listened to a lot of good songs that would serve as the OST. All the songs were so sad, and seeing how much a song changed once the lyrics were added was such a fascinating experience.

Instead of the traditional teasers for the Soundtrack #1 K-drama, the creators stuck to the music theme again by releasing music videos. The videos show stills of Han and Park in their roles, looking comfortable and engaging in domestic life. With the OST’s emotional lyrics, fans can see how the two characters begin to fall in love in the videos.
